Outdoor enthusiasts from far and wide have applied to become GORE-TEX® product Gear Testers. The response has been amazing and the competition tough, but we’ve finally managed to narrow the field down to a small team of unique individuals who we think have got what it takes to be GORE-TEX® product Gear Testers.

The team will be testing a variety of brands of GORE-TEX® garments and footwear throughout the next three to four months. Products will be tested while participating in a diverse range of outdoor activities in different environments across Australia and New Zealand and in all the kinds of weather conditions Mother Nature can muster.
Be sure to check out their blogs regularly to see what they are up to and find out how the garments are standing up to their testing. |

To make it a little interesting, the GORE-TEX® product Gear Testers will complete a monthly challenge. Vote for your favourite GORE-TEX® product Gear Tester and your vote will count towards one lucky GORE-TEX® product Gear Tester winning a AUD $4000 Peregrine Adventures travel voucher. The first challenge our Gear Testers will complete is...
Challenge 3
The third and final challenge tasks the Gear Testers with an important duty – they need to clean up their act.
Since August, the Gear Testers have been thrashing their GORE-TEX® jackets and footwear in the best ways they know how. Through rain, snow, sleet and mud they have trudged, enduring wet and windy conditions in an effort to win your votes. Meanwhile, more sinister conditions lurked.
While the weather can leave gear looking dirty, contaminants like natural body oils, sunscreens, mosquito repellents, sweat and moisturisers can affect the performance of GORE-TEX® products. Regular cleaning is a must.
So here’s the challenge – this month, the Gear Testers need to get their GORE-TEX® gear as dirty as possible. Sound too simple? Here’s the hard part – they then need to get it sparkling clean. |
